Wow! I am so impressed with the new plus-size brand, Curvy Sense. When they first popped onto the scene I was skeptical that they could offer the quality I desired at the prices they were promising. I felt there had to be a catch, something didn’t feel right. For once, though it wasn’t too good to be true. I’ve tried out a bunch of their collection and I have the full review for you after the jump.
Curvy Sense is offering fast fashion to the plus-size consumer and I think this is great! So often the options that we have as inbetweener or fat women are high-end or simply overpriced. It is great to have indie handmade brands and celebrity designer collections but the simple truth is that not everyone can afford to build a full wardrobe with those items, at those prices.
That is where Curvy Sense steps in. Not only do they offer a large variety of products, but they are incredibly affordable. I have also found that most of their options are really fabulous for mixing and matching with other items from their collection. In fact, that is what I have tried to showcase with this blog post, how flexible their designs are and how easy their pieces are to style and wear.
I’ve paired this gorgeous white keyhole top with both a midi-skirt and cute black wedges but I’ve also paired it with jeans, ballet flats, and a brown Curvy Sense sweater. Similar to how I have styled this burgundy lace blouse, it has been paired with this lovely white and black floral number, also from Curvy Sense. Plus this brown sweater basically goes with anything and it is light enough to wear now in summer. Check out upcoming post featuring Curvy Sense on how to style a simple maxi dress to take it from summer to fall.
In terms of sizing, everything you see here, except the pleated white skirt with floral details, is a size 1X. This is my normal size so the majority of the line fits exactly as it should. The skirt has a gorgeous thick waistband, with absolutely no stretch to it, so I needed to size up to a 2X, despite the size chart saying that I am in fact a size 1X by all accounts. Now the skirt fits perfectly, so keep that in mind when you place your order.
Consider that each of these items averages out at around $20-$25 and you are quickly on your way to building a new wardrobe of items you love to wear. Plus they offer free shipping on all US orders and free shipping on orders over $100 to Canada. Stock up on basics that will never go out of style but also, don’t be afraid to try a trend, at these prices you can’t lose. So what are you waiting for, what item are you first going to buy?
Curvy Sense has provided me with these items as a part of our collaboration agreement so that I could demonstrate their fit to my readers. However, you can fully trust that I will always give my honest opinion.
