“Beautiful You” Book Review

The second I opened the cover of the book Beautiful You: A Daily Guide to Radical Self-Acceptance by Rosie Molinary I completely fell in love. The premise of the book is what got me totally hooked, it is designed to be read one page a day. A way for you to ensure you keep at least one body positive message in your life per day by reading a simple passage. The 2nd edition launches on December 20th. Trust me when I say, this book is for everyone who believes in radical self-love, from those who desperately want to start their journey to those educating the rest of us on how to get there.

I’m a book person, I like the way books feel in my hands. I think about how thick the pages are, what size the cover is, and how many pages it has. I love the way this book feels, perfectly portable but not so small that it is pocket-sized and unreadable. The pages flip through my hands so perfectly I find myself randomly deciding where to stop and read. This is one approach but the book flows best if you were to start from page one and read one daily as some of the tips build on the previous suggestion.

Here are a few sample posts to give you an idea of the kinds of things Rosie recommends you try to improve your own body love. For example; volunteer and generate good karma, ditch what doesn’t fit, write a gratitude list, realize that you want memories not regrets, and change your wish. The author also recommends using a Beautiful You journal as you go through the process in order to reflect further upon the lessons learned and be able to come back to it at a later date.

So you obviously want to win this book already, right? But what if I told you that you could also win Jes Baker’s Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls and The Feminist Activity Book by Gemma Correll? Sold! Of course, you need to know how to enter, right? Here are all the details;
