Love For Love Honey Lingerie

I always find it exciting to stumble upon new plus size lingerie retailers, like Love Honey. So when they reached out to me to collaborate on a review post I was excited to browse their online store. Not only do they offer lingerie in a variety of sizes but they also offer sex positive toys, including their new collection from Broad City. Click through to see more pictures and read my full review of this brand and their collection of goodies. Continue reading “Love For Love Honey Lingerie”

“Big Gal Yoga” Book Review

As a fan of yoga who also happens to be plus size & a fat activist, I am proud to display “Big Gal Yoga: Poses & Practices to Celebrate Your Body & Empower Your Life” by Valerie Sagun on one of my coffee tables. The book offers something for yogis of every size but in an activity that is usually represented by ultra thin instructors, having Valerie guide us all through the poses is refreshing. This book made me feel better about my body when most other exercise based books have made me feel worse about it. So here’s to my fully visible, yoga loving, belly rolls! Subscription Boxes for Canadian Fatshionistas

Ever since I first saw bloggers based in the US getting to try out Dia & Co I was kind of jealous. Then I saw one of my favourite local bloggers post some videos of the box she got from them and thought they had finally come to Canada after all of my e-mail pleas, but I was fooled by some cross-border travel. So when I found FrockBox.ca you cannot imagine how excited I was to receive my first box (or rather package) from them. Spoiler Alert: Based on what I saw from the previously mentioned brand and what I received from FrockBox.ca – I’m very impressed with this new option! These are honestly some of my favourite new outfits, I’ve worn two more than once already. Continue reading “Subscription Boxes for Canadian Fatshionistas”

The Beginning of 2017’s Swimwear Summer

Last year may have been my first Summer of Swimwear but this year I am back and even more confident than before. So I’m excited to be out by the pool for the full 2.5 months it is open during the summer. My first journey out to the pool was in this gorgeous floral print high neck bikini from LoraletteContinue reading “The Beginning of 2017’s Swimwear Summer”

Laid Back Femme By Loralette

I’m pretty sure the title of this post sums up my style on most days. I’m always feminine, or as we say in the queer community, femme, but I am also usually pretty casual. I am not what we in the queer community refer to as high femme. I like skirts and dresses but I prefer cute separates for most occasions.  Continue reading “Laid Back Femme By Loralette”

The Bell Sleeve Trend Is Back

Yet another 90s trend is back for those of us old enough to actually remember it the first time around. I don’t recall owning anything in this style in the 90s (or many other trends given I wasn’t even a teen yet) but I am loving this ivory lace bell sleeve dress from Loralette. It lets me be the femme woman I truly am inside. Continue reading “The Bell Sleeve Trend Is Back”

Dressing Down Cocktail Dresses

Here’s the thing, I like to dress up. I prefer wearing skirts and dresses but it often doesn’t suit the weather or the occasion dress code. So I have started exploring ways to dress down cocktail dresses and evening wear, without coming across way too extra.  Continue reading “Dressing Down Cocktail Dresses”

When The Dress Is Perfect, Except…

I love this dress so much! Except, for one thing… it shows off way too much cleavage. I love the length of the dress, the v-neck, the bodycon design, the all black with lace details, the arm length, everything! But then I realized the center is sheer and it is 100% not appropriate to wear to work, which is where I hoped to wear it most often. Continue reading “When The Dress Is Perfect, Except…”

I’m Speaking at the Fat Activism Conference!

BIG NEWS EVERYONE! I have been waiting to share this news with you all for several months but now that I finally can, here it goes… I have been invited to speak at the 4th Annual Fat Activism Conference this fall. I am so excited & totally honoured!  Continue reading “I’m Speaking at the Fat Activism Conference!”

Party Skirt from Giti Online

I’ve always been a huge fan of empire waists and full skirts. It gives off that princess vibe that so many of us are searching for. One of the first fatshion items I purchased was a black tutu. I was hoping this skirt would mimic that look without making it too fancy for work. Continue reading “Party Skirt from Giti Online”
